Safety-Solve is a ready-to-use high flash point, cocktail for liquid scintillation counting. This low-odor, high flash point, low viscosity formula does not require dilution prior to use. Contains a blend of high quantum efficiency quench resistant fluors in a non-ionic emulsifier system which will accommodate a wide range of samples.

Our highest performance biodegradable cocktail for counting a wide range of samples including: aqueous solutions, biological materials, salt-buffer combinations and organic solutions. Bio-Safe II has a sample holding capacity of up to 25% aqueous volume within a clear, stable region. This large capacity can actually reduce the amount of scintillation fluid required which becomes important when using miniature vials. Bio-Safe II will not permeate plastic scintillation vials even over extended storage periods.

Research Products International Corp TS-2 Tissue and Gel Solubilizer, Scintillation Grade, 500 Milliliters
TS-2 is a strong organic base formulated to solubilize biological materials. Its high water holding capacity will incorporate up to 450 mg of aqueous volume using just 1 ml of TS-2. This factor alone makes TS-2 an economical product to use. TS-2 is compatible with all aromatic hydrocarbon based scintillation cocktails and eliminates problems related to chemiluminescence. This provides accurate sample reproducibility.
The ratio of sample weight or volume to the TS-2 volume will vary. Some typical examples are listed below:
Sample Volume TS-2 Volume Plasma - 0.4ml to 1.0ml
Dilute Nucleic Acids - 0.5ml to 1.0ml
Dilute Amino Acids - 0.5ml to 1.0ml
Protein Homogenates - 0.4ml to 1.0 ml
Most sample digestion can be performed at room temperature, which also reduces the effects of color quenching.
